How does the application and acceptance process work?
Study Tours are application only, but applications are processed largely on a first come, first served basis.
Because we intentionally keep our groups small and room inventory is limited, we ask advisors to complete a brief application so we can understand rooming preferences and create the best possible experience for everyone.

Why you're interested in the tour
Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. However, room inventory does matter. For example, if all available single rooms have already been assigned, we may place additional single-room requests on a waitlist or work with advisors interested in sharing accommodations.
Because space is limited, we ask advisors to apply only when they are prepared to commit to the tour if a spot is available.
Does British Isles Travel Expert membership provide any benefits for Study Tours?
Yes. Members of the British Isles Travel Expert Membership receive early access to apply and preferred pricing on all Study Tours.
Because group sizes are intentionally limited, some tours will fill during the member application period before applications open to non-members.
The savings on a single tour can offset the cost of an annual membership while also providing year-round destination education, marketing resources, and advisor support.
Should I join the British Isles Travel Expert Membership before applying?
Membership is not required to apply.
However, members receive early access to applications and preferred pricing on all Study Tours.
Because our tours are intentionally small, some departures will fill during the member application period before applications open to non-members.
Joining the membership does not guarantee a spot on any tour, but it does give you the opportunity to apply before the general public and provides year-round benefits including destination education, marketing resources, and advisor support.
Does joining the British Isles Travel Expert membership guarantee acceptance?
No. Study Tours are intentionally limited in size, and spaces are assigned primarily in the order applications are received, subject to room availability and rooming arrangements.
Membership provides early access to apply and preferred pricing, but it does not guarantee a place on any tour.
Can I participate in more than one Study Tour?
Absolutely. Advisors are welcome to participate in two or even all three Study Tours, provided space is available.
Advisors participating in multiple tours receive discounted pricing:

Join two tours and receive a $500 discount ($250 per tour)

Join all three tours and receive a $750 discount ($250 per tour)
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A $250 non-refundable deposit per person is required within 48 hours of acceptance to secure your place on the tour.
Because group size and room inventory are intentionally limited, we ask that advisors apply only when they are prepared to make their deposit and move forward if accepted.
Advisors who do not submit their deposit within the required timeframe forfeit their space, which may then be offered to another applicant.
Are payments refundable?
No. All payments made toward Study Tours are non-refundable.
Because Study Tours require advance commitments with hotels, guides, transportation providers, and experience partners, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations or unused portions of the tour.
For this reason, we strongly encourage all participants to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation/interruption coverage, medical coverage, and emergency evacuation benefits.
What are the rooming options?
All prices are listed per person based on double occupancy.
You may:

Share with another advisor of your choosing

Bring an adult guest (18+) at the same (non-member) per-person rate

Request to be paired with another advisor

Request a single room (limited availability; additional supplement applies)
Advisors wishing to room together must submit separate applications and list each other as their preferred roommate.
Can I bring a guest?
Yes. Guests are welcome on most Study Tours and must be at least 18 years old.
Guests pay the same non-member rates as advisors and participate in the same accommodations, activities, and included experiences.
Advisors bringing a guest will share a room with them. Most accommodations are arranged as twin rooms with two separate beds, though double rooms may be requested for spouses or partners and will be accommodated whenever possible.
How many advisors attend?
Most Study Tours are intentionally limited to 15-20 advisors.
Some specialized tours may be even smaller.
We believe smaller groups create a better learning experience and allow for more meaningful conversations, connections, and personalized attention throughout the tour.
